About ICED
To attain these noble development objectives, ICED has a crop of young, talented, capable and highly motivated managers and a staff who engage in action research, capacity building programmes and the delivery of extension services.
ICED’s network of development partners in Ghana and abroad plays a pivotal role in the achievement of its objectives, projects and programmes. As Ghana celebrates her 50 years of nationhood, and champions the African destiny, ICED commits itself to vigorously contribute towards combating poverty and human deprivation. Mission & Vision
The vision of ICED is to be an active contributor to the sustainable development of Ghana and SSA. To realise its vision, ICED is committed to contribute to improve food security and the livelihoods of the population of Ghana and SSA by engaging in applied action research, relevant capacity building programmes and delivery of extension and advisory services to individuals and development stakeholders in the sub-region.
Core Activities
CED’s core activities revolve around fundamental research, action research, provision of extension services, design and implementation of development projects, organisation of capacity building programmes and engagement in advocacy on sustainable development issues.
Our Objectives
In pursuit of its vision and mission, ICED:
- Assists and supports the improvement of the environment of small and medium scale enterprises in Sub Saharan Africa,
- Provides advisory services for the creation, development and promotion of entrepreneurship, for contributing to the sustainable development process in the region,
